Dr. Baburam Bhattarai says, “It was heartbreaking to see the Satdobato-Thanti Pokhari road under the Gorkha Palungtar Municipality on the Mid-Hill Highway, lying idle and crawling at a snail’s pace for years, as if it were dark under the lamp.”
“This road, which runs from Chiwabhanjyang (Panchthar) in the east to Jhulaghat (Baitadi) in the west, passing through his home ward, is a road of national pride, as declared by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai himself. “Whether I was in power or not, I have knocked on the doors of power from top to bottom countless times, but I have not been able to get any answers and I hear the cry that its head, the contractor, is so accessible that no one can touch his hair! Let the government formed on the basis of the Gen-G rebellion with an unprecedented mandate get the attention of the people,” says Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.
