5 injured as car hits 4 motorcycles in Koteshwor
Five people were injured when a car hit four motorcycles on the road in front of Bhatbhateni in Koteshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, at 7:40 PM on Monday.
The car with registration number Ba 14 Cha 4820 lost control and hit four motorcycles. The five people injured in the accident are being treated at B&B Hospital in Gwarkho, Lalitpur.
The driver of the motorcycle with registration number Ba.Pr.02-079 Pa 6486, 22-year-old Gyansagar Lopchan, a permanent resident of Hetauda in Makawanpur district and currently residing in Gwarkho, Lalitpur, was injured in the accident. His right shoulder was injured and his condition is normal. The rider on the back of the same motorcycle, 19-year-old Bipan Rai, a permanent resident of Bhojpur and currently residing in Gwarkho, suffered a head injury. His condition is critical.
Similarly, the driver of motorcycle number Ba.P.02-061 Pa 6107, 18-year-old Sushil Shrestha, a resident of Swayambhu-15, Kathmandu District, suffered injuries to his private parts. His condition is moderate. The driver of motorcycle number Ba.P.02-061 Pa 6107, 19-year-old Elish Baniya, a resident of Dhapakhel, Lalitpur District, sustained injuries to his right leg and chest. His condition is moderate. Similarly, the driver of motorcycle number Ba.P.02-041 Pa 8282, 23-year-old Sudip Thapa, a resident of Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, sustained injuries to his left leg and face. His condition is also moderate.
The Koteshwor Traffic Police have taken into custody the four motorcycles and cars involved in the accident. The driver of the car, Bhishma Shrestha, 45-year-old, a resident of Biratnagar-04, Morang district, and currently residing in Sinamangal, Kathmandu district, has been taken into custody by the Koteshwor Police Division and necessary investigation is underway.
