The government of Nepal made a provision for complete duty exemption on goods for Nepalese returning from abroad.
According to the new rules issued by the government, Nepali citizens who have returned after working abroad for six months can now bring one new mobile phone in addition to one tablet, laptop, desktop computer, watch, camera, etc., that they are currently using. Also, Nepali citizens who have returned after working abroad for at least 12 months can bring a television up to 65 inches, but only once. Similarly, medicines brought by patients after medical treatment, items used as support by physically disabled people, and food items up to 7 kilograms can also be brought.
