Eid-Al-Adha is one of the two holy Eids celebrated by Muslims. This year, Eid-Al-Adha in Nepal will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, with the evening of Eid on the 28th. Eid celebrations will continue for three days until Saturday, May 30th. According to the Nepali calendar, Eid-Al-Adha will fall on Jeshtha 14th and 16th.
This annual Hajj pilgrimage period is celebrated last and is also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice.” Muslims from all over the world gather for Eid prayers, reflecting on the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) and his unwavering obedience to Allah. Qurbani symbolizes Prophet Ibrahim’s (A.S.) faith when he was prepared to sacrifice his son, Ismail (A.S.), in obedience to Allah. This provides Muslims with a means of dedication to Allah, as they have seen the same.
