Pokhara-Dubai regular flights from September 23
Fly Dubai is set to operate daily flights from Pokhara starting September 23. According to Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has granted permission to Fly Dubai to fly.
Fly Dubai will land at Dubai International Airport from Pokhara on a 167-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. The aircraft, which will land in Pokhara at 6:15 pm, will take off for Dubai at 7:15 pm. The journey will take about 5 hours, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, in the first phase, Fly Dubai has obtained a flight permit for only one month. According to Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, this flight was made possible after Fly Dubai’s technical team studied Pokhara Airport a few days ago.
Last Tuesday, a technical team including Adrian Lucas, Vice President of Risk Management of ‘Fly Dubai’ of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), conducted a detailed on-site inspection of Pokhara International Airport. According to reports, after the inspection, Vice President Lucas had a six-hour-long in-depth discussion with Pokhara International Airport General Manager Jagannath Niraula and the airport’s technical team about the feasibility of daily flights from Pokhara to Dubai. During the meeting, the team learned about the airport’s runway, security system, technical infrastructure, and various aspects of flight operations. Lucas stated that Pokhara International Airport is ‘fully ready and correct’ in all technical and security aspects for regular international flights and pledged to start flights as soon as possible.
With the launch of Fly Dubai flights from Pokhara, Pokhara will be connected to the main international transit city, and from there, it will expand its connections to 300 other cities around the world.
