Tayab Khan, a 26-year-old from Palungtar, Gorkha, who arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) four years ago for foreign employment, has become the first person to win the jackpot of 30 million dirhams in the ‘Lucky Day Draw’ of the UAE Lottery.
This lottery ticket was not bought by Tayab alone, but by five of his close friends who regularly pooled their money. They would choose the numbers every week in turn, and this big prize of 10 million dirhams will be divided equally among the five friends, with each of them receiving 2 million dirhams (approximately 250 million Nepalese rupees).
Tyab Khan has made it his first priority to build a comfortable house for his family in Nepal with this money. After working as an employee for four years, he now wants to move forward in the field of entrepreneurship and investment. In addition, he has also thought of buying a Mahindra Thar jeep and a Rolex watch, which he has been dreaming of for a long time.
